In what sense is clothing involved in the construction of personal identity? Very large part of our identity.

With a collection they call “Rockers”, Sam Lambert and Shaka Maidoh of the ACF have produced a new range of tailoring-inspired staples that seems to have cut its razor-sharp teeth on the back streets of Kingston. It evokes both the struggle and the stance of rocker-survival and conjures impressions of Lambert’s and Maidoh’s boyhood heroes - Haile Sealassie, Malcom X and Jimi Hendrix.
It takes its attitudinal cues from the will to inspire embodied by these men. Avec Ces Frères rallying cry; Inspire to Inspire verges on artistic militancy and is always a bedrock of the ACF proposition. This season their story is told to the chest-rumbling rhythm of a reggae dub-plate and its provocative lyric is laid-down with a deceivingly cool ferocity.

As in each collection, Avec Ces Frères rennin committed to a set of hard-won signature silhouettes. They feature an underlying strain of street-smart synthesis and creative culture-grafting that have fast become an ACF calling-card.
